OU football hires Jake Rosenberg from The Athlete Group as partner in recruiting operations
Oklahoma football has officially appointed former Sooners linebacker Curtis Lofton as general manager and former Philadelphia Eagles Vice President of Football Administration Jake Rosenberg.
Rosenberg spent more than 12 years with the Eagles before departing after the 2024 NFL Draft. Lofton and Rosenberg will be tasked with recruiting and evaluating talent from high schools and the transfer portal. Rosenberg’s consulting firm, The Athlete Group (TAG), will also partner with OU football.
The news, first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter on Thursday morning, comes as OU embarks on its inaugural season in the Southeastern Conference with a newly structured approach to recruiting and football operations.
“We’re incredibly excited for this new setup,” OU athletic director Joe Castiglione said in a statement. “The instability we've seen in college athletics the past few years has presented both responsibilities and opportunities for us to refine our focus on how we evaluate, attract and keep talented athletes.”
“Jake is someone who has the ability to help OU in a variety of ways,” Eagles general manager Howie Roseman said in a statement. “He will be able to draw from the diverse experience he had in Philadelphia and help that program move forward and be as progressive as they want to be.”
The Athlete Group is thrilled that our partner Jake is taking on this new role with Oklahoma football. “We look forward to collaborating with OU,” TAG representatives stated. “Our combined experience and resources will be pivotal in helping OU thrive as they join the SEC.”
